Release notes for 4.13.3
========================
This is bug fix release from the development branch targeting Xfce 4.14.
This release addresses the following issues.

- Flush dbus connection on xfconf_shutdown to flush pending messages
- Properly use xfconf_shutdown in xfconf-query so changes take
effectively place.
- Check and warn for invalid GPtrArray on conversion from GValue to
GVariant. Caused by wrong old usage of g_value_set_boxed which was
followed by xfconf_array_free.

Also Thanks for Romain B (Skunny) for the following:
- Fix some build issues in AM subdir-objects
- Fix some autogen.sh warnings
- Better documentation processing.

Release notes for 4.13.1
========================
This is a second development release of xfconf targeting xfce 4.14.

Following a discussion on irc and since most the xfce components/goodies
will compile fine against the new port, we have decided to undo the api
version bump and just bump the soname version of libxfconf.

Only two exceptions are found so far, xfce4-settings and xfce4-panel,
but since these are core components, their issues will be addressed in
time to be compatible with the new library.

I hope this will make life easier for distro packagers.

Happy testing and sorry for the confusion.

Release notes for 4.13.0
========================
I'm happy to announce the first development version of xfconf targeting
xfce 4.14.

xfconf consists of a daemon (xfconfd) and a user library (libxfconf),
both have been ported to gdbus for the bus communication instead of the
obsolete dbus-glib.

IMPORTANT:

The version number of libxfconf has been bumped from 0 to 1. This is
necessary since:

1) There no XFCONF_TYPE_G_VALUE_ARRAY anymore (which is an old
deprecated dbus_g_type_get_collection), GPtrArray/G_TYPE_PTR_ARRAY
should be used instead.

2) Components linked to libxfconf-0 will not work with the new port, so
having a new libxfonf-1 will make transition smoother (You can have both
libxfconf-0 and -1 installed at the same time)

To resume, you can install xfconfd 4.13.0 daemon (replacing xfconfd
4.12.x), and install both versions of libxfconf, having this way
applications linked to libxfconf-0 or to the new libxfconf-1 working
smoothly together.
